Kevin Cheng PE
Associate
After his engineering studies in the U.S., Kevin Cheng returned to Hong Kong in 1995 to work on-site as a construction engineer for a number of years before he came back to the U.S. to settle in New York. This strong background in construction has been supplemented by extensive experience in concrete, steel and masonry design. As a structural engineer, Kevin has never strayed too far from his roots; he thrives on smaller scale projects or rehabilitation and renovation projects which require fast multi-tasking and constant contact with clients. Foremost in Kevin’s philosophy is that maintaining good client relationships through responsive customer service and providing practical solutions to engineering challenges leads to a rewarding project experience for all team members.
Kevin joined GACE in 2000; his notable projects include the South Orange Performing Arts Center in New Jersey, the Wyndham Garden Hotel in lower Manhattan, 310 West 97th Street in Manhattan, and 85 Adams Street in Brooklyn.
Kevin has an MSc from University of Pennsylvania and went to Polytechnic University for his undergraduate studies. He is a licensed P.E. in New York and is a member of the AISC, ACI and SEAoNY.
