1399 Park Avenue
New York, NY
This project is a new 23-story concrete-framed residential building that cantilevers 24 feet over a neighboring church building to the east. The cantilever begins at the sixth floor and continues to the roof and is achieved using reinforced cast-in-place concrete. Design includes setbacks at the 6th, 9th, and 15th floors which allow for several landscaped roof terraces. The building is supported on a deep foundation system of caissons to rock.
