Embassy Suites

Embassy Suites is a new concrete flat plate, 41-story hotel building in Midtown Manhattan. The structure’s lateral system consists of a combination of concrete shear walls and moment frames. The flexible hotel room layout and amenity spaces were achieved by creating multiple transfer levels throughout the building. The hotel tower is founded on concrete piers on bedrock; the 2-story garage at the back of the building is supported on spread footings on soil.
