P.S. 90 Condominiums
220 West 148th Street
New York, NY
This project involved the conversion of an abandoned, century-old public school into a 74 condominium residential building, 20 units of which are valued for middle-income families. Much of the existing steel frame structure was in fair condition and could be saved after various alterations and reinforcement. However, the concrete roof and floor slabs as well as all other interior elements had to be replaced. The project included a new performance theater and rehearsal rooms for a non-profit arts education program, the National Dance Institute (NDI).
