The Schumacher

This project is a residential conversion of an existing 6-story landmark building, which was originally the Schumacher and Ettlinger Lithographic Printing Business. Portions of the existing floor interior masonry bearing walls were removed to allow installation of a new elevator and stairs. A new penthouse was added, and the existing roof was replaced with a new steel structure. In addition, the existing roof and bulkheads were revised to install the new penthouse. A significant portion of first floor framing was replaced to create a new lobby and landscape courtyard area.
