Christopher Behan PE
Principal
Chris joined GACE in 1999 and feels strongly that the creative renewal of the older buildings can be an efficient and environmentally friendly alternative to building new. Although Chris works on many new buildings, he appreciates the ecological value of adaptive reuse, restoration, and historic preservation projects. Some of his prestigious projects include 326-344 West 40th Street, a three-building/four hotel development in Manhattan; Chelsea Market, a decades-long conversion of the 1 Million square foot former Nabisco Factory in Manhattan; and Myrtle Avenue Development; a multi-building mixed-use residential project in Brooklyn.
Chris is a licensed professional engineer in New York and holds a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from Dublin Institute of Technology in Ireland. He is also a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI).
